Love them?I fancied a trolley from Habitat, but they did'nt look very hardworking for shopaholics, so got one from Aldi today, I was a bit worried about getting one of the more expensive ones of line in case I never use it.0
-
Love them?Just thought I'd say to all the worried about their street cred - my two (12 yog & nearly 14 yob) argued about who was getting to pull the trolley up to town and back. Both think is is absolutely fab0
-
Love them?My two love it too and they squabble about who's going to pull it but their steering is still a bit squiffy. Only 4 and 6.
When I was in town the other day loading up my trolley, a woman going through the next checkout said, that's a fancy trolley for shopping now, I assume she was talking about mine as I didn't see any others. The SA said oh we sell little trollies like that. Hmmmm I don't think so....

Love them?Come on own up...one of you was in the purley tescos today with your trolley and dived in front of me by the reduced section.. :rotfl:
They have a passion for mushrooms obviously0 -
AlisonW wrote::j Finaly bought one. Not the best, doesn't fold .
It is a nice plain black with no logo on it, which I like to think says 'Chic Parisien Shopper' Not '£9.99 from Huddersfield Indoor Market' ( which is what it actually is)
Off to look for a safety pin now.
How sad am I? Highlights of yesterday.
1) discovering that my trolley does infact fold flat. :j
2) Being able to transport 8 cans of larger home from local shop without any one thinking, ' has she been to the off license again?'
3) Finding a safety pin and customising it with an old earring.
4) managing to negotiate said trolley over an unmade road and up a cobbled slope.
Cor, don't I live an exciting life?
BTW.I think a simple safety pin is as good a badge as any, small, discreet, and most importantly very very cheap, in keeping with OS money saving ethos. Most people either have some in the house or can scrounge one from somewhere.

Love them?I went to Aldi today...
.... guess what I bought?
A red one - sorry, can't afford cow print super duper posh one, but if I get fed up I can always get to work with a black marker pen & soup it up a bit!?
... ok, perhaps not0 -
Love them?D&DD, wasn't me
Kaminari, has your OH seen sense yet?
Busybody, I bet you use it loads, they just make so much sense!
The Aldi red ones are gorgeouse though Chipps, Well done! And why not customise it? Go for it!
Wendrie, In the inner London suburbs it is beginning to look uncool to be laden with bags. I'm beginning to see youngish men with trolleys now, especially at the markets... Mind you, every bloke under 70 looks young to me these days, I've got to the "he's a policeman? He looks as if he should still be in nappies, never mind school" stage
Alison, I am NOT going to tell you how many boxes of wine I once got in my trolleyLets just say the young sales assistant's eyes were popping out of his head! It's great though isn't it? Have a bunch of carrots poking out of the top and you can look as virtuous as you like, while hidden in the depths..... :rotfl: :rotfl:
Hey! Anyone taken their trolley to Ann Summers yet?
Just got back from shopping and saw someone in Tchibo with a seriously nice denim trolley.
I didn't have mine as I'd only gone out for a bottle of Stardrops (allegedly) but I wished I had taken it in the end! Anyone seen those ceramic storage jars with the little spoon and holder in Tchibo? they are great! I keep popping in to get one every time I detour 2 miles out of my way to "just happen" to be walking past the shop And Woolies have some great storage boxes in their sale; also 2 mile detour so if I go for one.....
Every time I see someone with a trolley now I find myself checking for safety pins and wondering if I dare ask "MSE?" to the owner.....
What we need are some really large safety pins we can attach to the trolley zips or fasteners. I like Alison's idea of customizing with an old earing! Cool!
I'm off for a google
Smiley_Mum, it's not here yet, so still pulling my gray/blue one. Can't wait to take my smart new trolley out! And Cow Print Chic versus the M&S bag with wheels? I don't think so :rotfl: :rotfl:My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead

LOL - I took mine out with me today because I knew I'd be laden from th elibrary and then once in the market...well, gorilla arms are soooo not me
However, wandering around the market I saw a young(ish) woman with a black trolley and a small boy. I stood next to her and was about to ask if she was OS, when she went off. Don't think she was though - just a feeling I got.
Oh, and it was very handy having the mouselings with me today - they pulled the trolley most of the time0 -
Is anyone bidding on the cow-print Rolser on eBay? Mind you it does sound a bit bashed!Learn the rules so you know how to break them properly!0

Which is odd coz it is seriously difficult to bash them. My old Rolser has seen years of hard labour but an occasional gentle wash and a wipe down for the frame and it comes up like new!
I wonder what they did to the poor thing!
Don't forget the bags can be replaced if the frame is OK. Contact Rolser Novela for details.
I think Kimberley is bidding on it? Are you still in the race Kimberley? My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead
Proud to be a chic shopper
