I want some thick old fashioned thick curtains

You remember the sort, the velvet lined ones that were popular years ago.

I want them for my living room and bedroom bay windows.

As long as they are in reasonable condition and plain colour they would be fine.

Perhaps someone has some in a cupboard they are thinking of sending to charity shop.

I will be willing to give some money for them, I have tried usual avenues such as freecycle and ebay to no success.

Hope someone can help even if its just to reccomend someone that could make some for reasonable price.

Thank you kindly.
Richard.

I got mine from Dunelm Mill, some deep red heavy lined ones in Deep Red, and they go from ceiling to floor. I think I paid £19.99, reduced from £49.99. But they have loads of stuff like this at Dunelm Mill http://www.dunelm-mill.com/Default.asp?&cookie%5Ftest=1 Most of it is reasonable cheap, but also look for the new Thermal Lined curtains as they keeps the heat in but the curtains are lighter.

Ikea do velvet curtains for about £55, in several different colours. Drop is 300cm which is good for Victorian/Edwardian houses. Not sure if there lined though.
