  • So let me get this straight. Somebody enters a competition and they are informed they have won. They are then told that they have to pay X amount to take advantage of a great offer. I always presumed a competition involved a prize being free? making people pay for the prize is not a competition in my opinion no matter how you word it. You say you are not affliated with them and that may be true but I find your post to be a very proffesional looking post. I also find your comments about not seeing a good deal when we see one and the whinge.com references to be very arrogant.

user_offline.gifreport.gif I sometimes wonder whether people have got nothing else going on in their lives except to moan about everything continually. Let me explain to the uniniated/arrogant/"oh my god everything is a scam" brigade that seems to be on this thread. I AM NOT CONNECTED WITH SEASONS HOLIDAYS IN ANY WAY. The prize you are winning is the cost of the timeshare that people would buy if they go on the tours and like what they see. They also then pay the same maintenance fee that is being asked of a prize winner. So what you are getting is the actual cost of the holiday unit FOR LIFE plus the annual maintenance fee. DO THE SUMS. If you spend one week abroad/in this country in a little hotel room every year you are looking at around £1000 for that holiday EVERY YEAR therefore in 3 years you have paid the cost of the prize you have won FOR LIFE. Each year after that all you have is the cost of the maintenance fees and can you get a week's holiday for £300????? Do not be ridiculous!!! Even in this economic climate you can't get a holiday for less than this cost per person!!!!! It is obvious to anyone with any degree of common sense/maths ability to work out that being given a timeshare is a fantastic deal. If you do not want it then give it to me. There is nothing arrogant about trying to point out the obvious to people who cannot see the facts (school teachers do it every day-are they arrogant because they know facts that children do not?) I would also like to point out to you that my post seems professional because I am excellent at expressing myself in the English language; have been a teacher and am now a successful author and poet. Am I still arrogant or just slightly more knowledgable on this subject of timeshare than yourself and others who have never experienced the joys and financial freedom that owning one provides???
P.S I wish I was affiliated with Seasons as I would be on great commission for my opinions!!

i completely agree with everyone as this is a competition forum NOT a timeshare selling forum. and everyone entering these competitions believes they will get a prize for free. thats what its all about in my opinion. so i think these people should fine another forum to post on. and that seasons letters should be completely ignored unless you really fancy paying money out for a timeshare :)
    Started comping: Dec 08 :)
Recent WINS: AEGON Classic tickets, face pack.
I would like to win in 2014: Money (any!), festival tickets, any wedding stuff and a hotel stay/holiday!

They phoned me back and I explained that I had read worrying posts and wouldnt be claiming the prize but I would still like my bonusprint book - I was very polite about it and explained that the thing that had caused me most concern was the carmarthenshire prosecution. The lady was very polite and still gave me my bonusprint code for a 30 page picture book, so not all was totally lost.

Obviously you cannot read or are far too cynical to believe what anyone says. I am not affiliated with Seasons at all-maybe you should phone to ask them??? People like you are impossible to reason with as you do not have a reasonable bone in your body and are too single focussed to hear or read what anybody else says about anything. Get a life. End of discussion as I have far better things to do with my time than argue with unreasonable people.
