It's in a "good" part of Southampton,i bet if you look for 4 bed detached within a 5 mile radius of that you will see some under 300k..0

Yes would only consider good areas as some really crappy parts round here. I would pay £325k but have been put off bidding again now as they want so close to asking. Detached houses with big gardens can be had for similr prices...guess that's the new house premium...0

Sorry it didn't work out for you.
We have an offer for a 4/5 bed town house and the layout and size for the money is exactly why we went for it.
GF: Kitchen/dining room, utility room, toilet and garage
1st Living room, large double with ensuite, very small bedroom/study
2nd 3 good size bedrooms and bathroom
Not much garden but patio and is south facing so should be nice.
Frankly I can't live in a garden and my 4 kids (3G 1B 13-5) need space otherwise they kill each other.
The only other thing we were looking at doing was a standard house but then pricing in a loft conversion to effectively turn it into a townhouse.Nothing to see here :beer:0 -
My understanding is that currently Mortgage companies are looking down on this so called 'new house premium', as they are grossly overpriced.Yes would only consider good areas as some really crappy parts round here.
