I have an Electron, tho not through Barclays, and have never had any probs using it anywhere, on or offline

The electron card has one advantage.
EasyJet don't charge for using it.
They charge £4.95 for credit cards and £1 for debit cards.

If you book with them a lot then it might be worth keeping the card just for this.
