removing burned in screw from stove

I have a wood burning stove in a house I have just moved into. It requires a replacement glass as one has cracked. The old glass is held in by 3 brackets which are held on by 3 screws. The screws have phillips heads but refuse to budge. Anybody any idea on how to move them or will I need to drill and tap.
Something Really Interesting

A little bit wd40 on them? make sure the phillips is the best fit it can be, perhaps even try a flat head if it gets a better grip of the screwhead.
Have you tried to tighten them slightly? (just to break whatevers stopping them loosening without damaging the side of the screw needed to remove).
Failing that, a bit of heat perhaps?0 -

try removing them when the stove has been on
The stove would be cast and the screws could be steel/brass, with the differnece in contraction caused by heat you may be able to free themHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0 -
