To my surprise, got an email from seller saying he knew about this.

Hey all

Just wondering what you would do in my situation.

I bought a Mini Hifi System off ebay for £65 inc. postage.

Today I have discovered that the CD player sometimes gets stuck when you press Open, but sometimes it does work.

I emailed the seller asking if he had noticed this or was it the post ?

I knew it was sent via Parcelforce, so said in my original mail can you please instigate a claim.

To my surprise, got an email from seller saying he knew about this. This was definitely not disclosed on the ad.

What would you do ? I'm tempted to say I want refund.

  • Surely it's 'Not as described' I'd ask for a full refund inc postage, or maybe you want to keep it and ask for a partial refund due to the fault?
I won't buy it if I can make or borrow it instead
  • I think I know what Fay is going to say, fortunately nothing shows on Firefox.

  • I was, for an experiment, looking at this thread on IE and saw a strange box on Jonnys post and wondered if that was what you were referring to earlier. If not then I've got it wrong.

I'm sure you're right - for some reason they don't display for me after the first couple of times I look at them. All but 4 posts have been deleted, only one of them doesn't have the link in it.

Oh looky, Soo has some inside info:

'quote the post as if you are going to answer it and then hit the little box on the top right hand corner with the A in it and it shows you anything hidden in the post. '

  • As the links do not show up in Firefox, are they as much a problem?

It's the principle, rather than the irritation.
If you post for your own financial gain, not only are you meant to declare it, but you don't try to hide it.
