Pboae, we would both like to see the dungeons, Edinburgh castle, ghost tours that kind of thing, i was thinking of using my clubcard deals...thank you both again for your info xx
I did the Dungeons and the Ghost Walk on 1st November and it was fantastic! Make sure you book the ghost walk that actually takes you into the Edinburgh Vaults, as featured on Most Haunted. That really was an unforgettable experience. Just when you have relaxed and are having a laugh, it all goes a wee bit scary...

Now for hotels...you really are spoilt for choice here.
For £155 total, you can book the 14 day advance rate at the Barcelo Carlton which is rather nice and very well located, or for £164 total you can get the Radisson on the Royal Mile which is very nice indeed and right in the heart of the ghost walk area as the Vaults entrance is down the side on the hotel on Niddry Street. In fact, there are rumours that the Radisson has it's fair share of weird happenings too. ;) I've stayed at both and the Radisson wins for me but the Barcelo has leisure and spa facilities too and the side entrance is literally across the road from Waverly Station.

For £139 total you can get the advanced booking rate at the Ramada Mount Royal right on Princes Street. There's also an amazing array of apartment rentals around the Royal Mile that would be cheaper than a hotel.

As for bars, Deacon Brodies is legendary and close to the Castle and there's a lovely bar that my mate visits called Under The Stairs. I'll be checking it out for myself in March, and if sunday morning is a nice day, try a trip out to Portobello Beach on the bus. Oh. and I forgot to mention Bannermans on Cowgate and Nicol Edwards bar on Niddry Street. Both are great for live music, cheap good beer and they are built into the vaults so both bars have a reputation for strange goings on.

Also forgot to mention one of the smallest, cosiest pubs ever!

This pub is literally the size of my living room at home and even though my visits to it were three years apart, there was still a man propping up the bar who reminds me of Captain Birdseye! :D It's well worth a visit...to tell the truth, after coping with the steps on Fleshmarket Close, you will need a pint to recover.

If you want to spend your Tesco Deals,
    St Marys Close http://www.realmarykingsclose.com/ and
Witchery Tours http://www.witcherytours.com/ both take them.
When I had my loft converted back into a loft, the neighbours came around and scoffed, and called me retro.
