Car seem to get my car fixed !!!!

Ok about a week before christmas my car was broken into, we rang our car insurance and passed over the information. Np they said it would cost us £150 exess and some of our no claims bonus but they would get a garage to ring us.

A few days later a garage rang and asked nicely if you could leave it till the week after christmas, again np for us so we left it we moved the car to the backyard so it was behind a fence as it no longer locks and has a very obvious gaping hole.

The morning it was due to go in the garage rang and told us they had no hire cars could they re-book, sure i said and the girl on the phone said she'd ring me back. A couple of days past and i got no call so i rang them and they booked me in for the 1st week in Jan.

Jan came and my husband was due back at work and had to start using the car, which i might add he's not happy about as it doens't lock and has a huge hole so everyone can see it doens't lock but he needed it for work.

The friday came and they YET again called and cancelled... this go's on and on ... half the time they don't answer and when they do they give us and excuse.

Eventually we rang the insurance company back to complain, but the woman who was dealing with our claim wasn't in (sigh), but would ring us back when she got back into work...

Since then i've played merry hell trying to get SOMETHING sorted, our car is not safe, drivable yes but its not secure and we are having to leave it places unlocked. The claim advicer NEVER answers her phone im SICK of leaving her damn messages while her voice mail promises me she'll ring back within 2 hours, the garage finally booked us in for today but SUPRISE they cancelled AGAIN!!!!

Im at my witt's end, i pay for fully comp insurance, they've taken my £150 exess and my car is STILL broken 7 weeks after the event... oh and they havn't coughed up the £100 for the contents of the car either ...

Any ideas??!!!

    Sounds like you are being given the run around. Who are the insurers?

    I suggest you first of all look in the policy booklet for a telephone number for their complaints department. If you can't find one, phone the claims line and ask to speak to the claims manager (if someone asks if they can help, say no and that you want to speak to the claims manager, then explain the problem to them).

    If you continue to have problems, post back or pm me.

    It's admiral its becoming a right pain, gonna try them again tommorrow and this time if i can get though to the woman ill ask for the claims manager and complaints
