Well put, mizzbizz. The people and the discussions aren't up to much these days. It's time to move on but I'll still pop back from time to time.

    I'm still here.......

Now watches you all run off into the distance.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

It's good to get the older people out and let the young, more sensational members take over

  • have to agree with mizzbizz. I lurked for over a yr before commenting (which led to someone accusing me of being an old poster with a new handle and calling me a 'sock puppet' - I've since put this timewaster on 'ignore').
in this time I've noticed a gradual cooling of debate, less objective posting and more anecdotals (mine included).
that said, some of the links to publications that I wouldn't usually read can be useful but the only real highlight left is the monthly release of the haliwide figures.
I'll still call by but I have to say my interest is beginning to wane.

    Coming to this Board soon:

    Depression Chat.

    On the Old Style Board:

'How to Fix an Umbrella a Banker Falling from the 40th Floor Landed On...?'

    Good post Mizzbizz and Generali

I for one need to stay away from these threads as I am sucker for a bite and have little in the way of evidence behind my comments.

I do always enjoy reading the first few pages though of a new thread though - after that it gets daft with silly posts like mine blocking the system up.

All down to personal opinion though.

Or maybe, as the credit crunch kicks in, everyone's busy trying to earn more to see themselves through the downturn?

I know I am. The more time I spend on here, the less I earn. Time is money and all that...

Sure when the Halifax figures come out or any big news hits the fan, the regulars will pop back in.

    Don't go, baby boomer!

Actually, really enjoying the peace and quiet on here - much nicer when some of the trolls disappear. :)

Chin up! Only another 4 years to go!

    Hia Amulescent,

No I totally agree with you....I meant to say i'm bored of arguing about the recession. A typical thread goes like this:

OP: FTB's back in the market. Prices rising. End of recession.
    ME: Yeah, but....
    AP: No but...
    ME: Yeah, but
    AP: You're a racist,, xenophobic, depressive doom-monger
ME: But look at the evidence......
    AP: LALALALALALALALALALALA
    ME: I give up.
I'll have some cheese please, bob.

I've noticed the usual crowd seem to have gone.... where is NDG?

Yes, this as well. The bears and bulls of old were pretty clever, funny, original. And I mean both bears and bulls. There was a lot of originality, useful anecdotes and information, a lot less inane abuse.

I also dislike all the theads such as 'what do you do for a living', 'this thread takes the biscuit' etc.
