BT calling my number and looking for someone else

I received 2 calls today from BT  They are looking for a certain R C... I have the number from 3 months now... shouldn't they know whos line is it? The woman on the phone insisted if I am sure it's not R C line? I think it's odd they don't know whos line is it... I hope that they won't ask me to pay for something for someone else ... any ideeas?

Have you called BT about this?

It could possibly be a debt collection chasing up the person that last had the number or even a sales person working for a 3rd party sales company.

I wouldn't worry about paying anything as you are not liable for paying other peoples bills.

    Give BT a call.
If saved £2710 and only spent the interest (Based on a return of 5%), you would have enough money to pay your TV Licence every year. Saving you £7452.50 over a period of 55 years, based on you buying a license from the age of 20 until your 75 at a cost of £135.50.
