Barclays.........BAH!!

I received a letter from Barclays today saying my request to open an account with them had been refused. I had applied for the online deal that Martin was promoting a couple of weeks back. Apparently it was to do with "my credit rating".
What credit rating??? The only thing I owe is my mortgage! I do have to live somewhere.
I don't have a credit card, only debit and I have money in my account and earn a fairly good wage.
So I don't understand why. I personally reckon that Barclays got wise to the loop-hole they made and are going to refuse a lot of people so they don't lose out so much. Oh Barclays did offer me the opportunity to apply for their current account. No thanks........

I have also been rejected by Barclays and so has Mr bee both for poor credit ratings, but only yesterday Mr bee was sent a nice letter from Barclays congratulating him for being a great customer and upgrading his credit card to a nice platinum one with a great big credit increase and some nice cheques to help him spend it!!0

It's like the saying says - 'if anything looks like too good to be true, it probably is' I don't believe that there is such a thing as a bargain - it's always a balance of need and want between the buyer and the seller.0
