  • Your not quite aware of what the survivor GT is are you? especially back then the standard survivor was about 1/3 more than the same storage of standard drives the GT is a high performance one and were very new at the time and were more expensive about double the standard survivor. the price differences are a lot smaller now but the fact I was going through 2 or 3 normal drives a year spending the extra was well worth it. as it has survived till now.
    I had actually somehow skim read your post wrong and didn't acknowledge you bought a survivor GT for that price. In which case fair enough; I've never looked into buying one myself so wouldn't know about the price differences.

  • Just a quick note worth mentioning,

    Don't forget to have a second copy of critical files stored/backed up in a different location, these things do crap out sometimes and corrupt the data on them.

    They also don't like a wash and spin dry in your pockets!
