i made the turkey bologanise. i didn't like it. for a fiver i thought it was expensive for basically mince witha jar of sauce. i thought it would make a nice change but i was really disappointed. we all only really love my home made spag bol, but if it has to be from a jar then ragu red wine and herbs is really nice. it could of been the turkey mince tho as i'm only really used to beef or lamb.
i tried the chicken and lentil hotpot thingy and that was devine. But it made a huge amount. it fed the 4 of us , plus gave a huge pot to my mum for there dinner.0 -
Have made the lamb burgers quite a few times now- v popular in our house! didn't like the carrot salad thats supposed to go with it so just make the burger part of the recipe.0

Tell me about it, I tried that back in October and it fed me for a week bargain! I was a bit sick of it by the time it was finished though...
I cooked the pork chilli last night, it was lush and less calories than using beef, plus it supports the British pig industry.
Another favourite is the summery salmon risotto, which is a tad time consuming, but looks impressive and tastes divine if you have friends over for supper!
I love how easy these recipes are, as well as the price! :T0 -
loks a bit priecy to me for a fiver im sure i could do it for less0

Bearing in mind all these recipes feed 4 people, then I think £1.25 per head is a bargain that is hard to beat.
I'm sure you can find the ingredients cheaper at Aldi & Lidl, but I don't want to compromise hugely on the welfare standards of the meat I cook with. The meat sold in Sainsburys is British, with the bog standard packs of pork and chicken all being farmed to RSPCA freedom food standards.0 -
