Npower seems to be cheaper but pushy staff...
are making me worried. i went first to moneysupermarket and they came out cheapest for our needs. by chance they had sales rep at weekend in shop and i said i wanted to go with them. they said it would be quick but then i had to fill in forms and then they wanted to take my bank details there and then - even though they say i seem to have 14 days to change my mind but you get a copy of this after you have filled in the forms and then they call up head office and they need to speak to you to check who you are and ask more questions. at the end i gave up as i was getting suspicious!!! anyone got similar experience or am i just being over cautious!!! thanks in advance

Did you give your bank details? Looks as if you've signed up - are you absolutely sure you've signed up for the tariff you wanted. In your position, I'd cancel and sign up online with cashback.0

Hi
I would find the tariff you think will suit you best and has the prices you want to pay, and either use the companies website for the switch or call them directly.
Calling the company directly allows you to ask any questions and clarify any points you are unsure about.
Switch and comparison websites often have a recommendation system that others comment on the level of customer service they have received, this is sometimes a useful and an impartial indicator on each companies service.
When starting a transfer to another company, you will always have 14 days from the day you sign up to change your mind, this is industry wide and known as the 14 day cooling off period.
If you contact the new supplier in this timeframe you can cancel the transfer and you will stay with your current supplier. If your trip to the shop was recent, I would do this sooner rather than later and by phone, to make sure that you are within your "cooling off" period.

They should have asked you to do a telephone validation of the contract before you signed the contract.
Did you do this?0 -
Onthe validation call they would only put your contract through if you agree to transfer your fuel to them0
