Portable toilet hire

We need to arrange some for our builders building the extension (we work all day, they can't have access to the house with no one there).
Has anyone got a recommendation?

I think that it normal for contractors to provide their own portable toilet facilities. After all they are the ones who want to use them.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.

at some point they will need access to the house - unless you're doing all the inside work yourself ,

nickj is right, there's no getting around the builders having access once they've broken through into the existing building.

Our builders provided a portaloo (from Toilets Plus), and at least that meant we didn't get muddy boots tramping through the house every day. It also meant we had a month to get to know the builders and get a bit more confident that the foreman was a good bloke who would keep an eye on what they were up to once they had access!

Thanks to those that recommended suppliers. We have now found a local firm for £23 p.w.

I have asked for specific recommendations not comments about the set up, but since you are all so curious - we are having different sub-contractors doing the work and have at least 6-8 weeks of outside work before they break in, when they do it's to a part of the house that is empty, unused and blocked off from the rest. There will be no free access to the house for logistical and personal reasons (which I don’t feel I have to expand on here) until the very last and necessary moment.
  • Steve, if something goes wrong with the local suppliers you've chosen, give Loo-hire U.K. a buzz on 0845 671 5503. They supply portable toilets throughout the UK. I'm sure their prices will be competitive due to the current economic crisis

    The website address is http://www.loohire.com/

Not all builders are as respectful - my sister found one of the mugs she had supplied tea in being recylced for other purposes! They were taking the proverbial in more than one way though!!

So long as #1 only...what's wrong with a bucket?!! It's also good for the compost - requires a good aim though! lol

Well, some do not. So it could be a good option to look on nice websites like erento (erento.co.uk/hire/construction-machines-building-site/site-welfare-bathroom-wc-acilities/portable-toilet/) or something like that. There you find lots of different portable toilets and at the same time you can compare prices. There you can initiate a non-committed inquiry!
