I am letting the boys have a "snow day" as last time it snowed they were sent straight back home but I am going to attempt to get into work. If I can get up the lane that is:rolleyes:

I am pleased I got my shopping in yesterday:T
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

    Morning all.

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY JINKY

We've got a dusting of snow but nothing to get excited about...

    Today's to do list:

    Clean fridge
Clean bathroom (properly - did a 'fly lady' swish and swipe at the weekend but it needs attention...)
Iron Hubbles' shirts for the week
Bake a coffee cake (assumiong ingredients in cupboard - it is too cold to go out!)
Finish off buttons etc on baby knitting
    Laundry
    Sort baking ingredients cupboard

I think that's it - will add more as it occurs to me...

  • My friend accross the road has got 5 minutes up the road and turned back. She's got a super duper all bells ringing car and is used to driving hundreds of miles a week.
I now feel totally relaxed about going nowhere! More coffee I think. :j

Only just started snowing here. Glad I don't work Mondays & Tuesday as I would have to walk to work as my LA has a policy that it's reasonable to walk 5 miles so they don't give you time off for snow. Last time it snowed here schools were all closed by 11am but they refused to let staff go from work. We were told if we did leave work we had to either work the hours back (they know as we clock in/out) or take annual leave.

    Morning all

Happy birthday Jinks - have a fantabulous day

Well after the excitement of heavy snow yesterday afternoon, there's been nothing over night  Ours is expected in the next couple of hours when the tide changes.....so I've sent DD1 the 7 miles on the bus but I shall be keeping an eye on the situation and get her home if need be.
