Afternoon ladies (and Oddjob if you around :D )

A little early for me today but have been at home. AF arrived in the night with a vengeance and I felt like pap so thought I'd have a day at home. So far I have not done a lot apart from laze around. Have sorted 2 bags of DD's clothes ranging in age from 4 - 8 for my friends step kids, and have found 2 bags of DS clothes which I will charity shop at the weekend unless anyone has boys and would like a few bits. Nothing special but a few coats and jeans but not sure of sizes, prob 10 - 14 maybe. Have managed to put WM on once and hoovered the kids rooms. Thats it - oh apart from watching a bit of GMTV and Loose Women plus an hours kip.

And update on the weather on the east coast. Had 2 inches snow yesterday morning and its all gone today.

Right I better go and start something of todays list and think about tea.

    TTFN

PS Congratulations to Pigpens DS GF on baby Jacobs arrival
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!

Laughing at myself (and still suspicious of the outcome of this) but I am proud to announce Pigpen I have completed Tuesdays list as well as Mondays now. Amazing what work avoidance can achieve. No ironing to do so can't do HHI. Only just got the TD working again so a backlog of washing - did the childrens and bedding first so no ironing till tomorrow.

The ground floor (and stairs) is now clean and tidy - with the exception of the play room which is clean but messy. DS's will be tidying it before bed time. Hope tomorrow is upstairs based.

Off to make some twinks (as the oven is on to roast a chicken for dinner), was thinking of using some chopped stem ginger and some of the syrup from the ginger jar for half a batch. Fatal though because I just knowI will eat them.

  • I didnt manage to do anything yesterday, no idea why, but have made good progress today, even though I have spent most of the day on the internet getting distracted!!! Awwww PF he's a cutie pupsicle! That name tag is way too big, bless him. Sending lots of dry floor vibes :)
rach a lot rely on it up here but it's all pretty much running ok, braver bus drivers :) unsure if the Metro was effected but that doesn't come this way. They did used to stop them where I lived before if it was extreme but that was because a bus 'parked' in someones garden.
embb when we had idiot neighbours I contacted companies delivering to ask them not to take parcels there!
Valli, water! Just incase of course!
mOZzy hope you get that positive feedback, for them to measure up must be a good sign!
sexymouse the only thing I find with using stardrops is sometimes you get an 'after taste' so need to rinse very well

We've had gritters out tonight, no ice about but suppose it's forecast for colder than it is now over night (I've got the conservatory doors open at the mo to warm the house up it's so sunny) only on the bus route road of course.....

I managed to get quite a bit more studying done and after a fight with getting it installed have now got Firstclass on too! Thank you Craftyscholar for offering to send me it but we got a copy this time :)

I've done a bit of the kitchen but not a lot, DS2s at Beavers tonight and I am hoping nothing else to do other than that and housework/feeding everyone. If I plan it well I can sandwich more studying in, maybe even finish chapter 3........

Rach I'll join you then as that gives me enough time to do what I need to online etc (I need to find the bank log in aswell as I can't remember it...pah!)
One day I might be more organised...........

Ooh just took delivery of three parcels from Nescafe (and I 'declutter' some of the beans from the coffee at work as I bring the glass home to be recycled)

What did you order? Got our third parcel today as well, a set of digital scales = SIL b'day pressie :D

Called on my neighbours, they are ok and didn't need anything but we had a nice chat. Bread and milk collected for us on the way to school. Still very icy underfoot but some of it has melted and the main road is now clear at last.
