Hello
i live in a 2 bedroom semi i have a combi condensing boiler and just a gas hob everything else is electric.. i had a new metric meter on the 16th of oct 2008 and in the 3mths (99 days ) the meters been fitted i've used 5950 kwh's (£245) i think this is high for a 2 bed semi.. we dont have the heating on allday it only comes on about 4 in the afternoon and goes off at 10.30 on the night. i havent got any other bills to compare because we only moved in 3 months ago.
the price as been worked out to the new meter. i just think the meter is reading to fast..
does this bill sound high for a 2 bedroom house...
thanks neil

Sorry, but £80 per month in these temperatures does not seem high.
(Check that your kWhs are only about 11 times your meter units, though.)0 -
Welcome to the forum.
£80 a month for this time of year is excellent!
The average gas consumption in UK is 20,500kWh and the great majority of this is in the period Oct to April. So you are in line to be well below average.
However you are paying quite a high price for your gas - so look at a comparison website to see how much cheaper you can get it. Certainly your £245 bill can be reduced by £30+0 -
hi
