this TV keeps going up and down at the moment. Comet had this for £329.99... it's gone up now though.

Seems to drop the price when stock is low to grab customers... then up the price when plenty of stock o_0

 I thought the one that Comet and others were playing around with the price was this one >>>>>>> http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-32L4000-Widescreen-Bravia-Freeview/dp/B001DXA8Y6/ref=sr_1_4/278-3671049-7793333?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1233514531&sr=8-4

My housemate used to work at Pixmania. I can safely say I don't think I would ever bother buying anything from them. If you have even the slightest problem they're absolutely dreadful.
  • I echo Post 4.
I bought a camcorder for Christmas which they couldn't guarantee would arrive in time so I asked for a refund.
They sent me an email telling me my refund was actioned 30.12.08.
As of today, I still haven't received it.
If you must buy, use a credit card.
This TV was on offer in Sainsbury's recently for £349.

If everything goes Ok - Pixmania are OK - not great, just OK. If anything goes wrong, they're a nightmare!

I know some of the stores are selling the 32L4000 model which is lower spec than the 32V4000 model (has fewer connection sources).

I was lucky and managed to get one from John Lewis for £299 with a 5 year guarantee (the V model) so i'm extrememly happy.

I would avoid and AFAIK they are French and no relation to DSG, but Fotovista, hence customer service problems.

Look at the bottom right hand corner !!

I can't see what being French has to do with poor customer service.

If I must be honest, I recently had a problem with PCWorld, who are also part of DSG, and despite some initial CS issues, the problem was eventually sorted out and I recieved some excellent Customer Service.

I think DSG owns the vast majority of Fotovista. I remember seeing Pixmania listed as one of DSG's businesses on a news report the other week.

i purchased an lcd tv 18 months ago from these guys and no probs with the tv but there TVs are obviously european spec , so come with a manky two pin plug . sometimes they send you a huge bulky adaptor to make it uk spec . very ugly thing sticking out the socket though !!!! would never buy of them again though.
