Toaster turns on but doesn't heat up

I have a Breville toaster and the lights come on but when you press the leaver down it doesn't heat up. The leaver stays down but the heating bits don't glow.

probably cause the heating bits are broken?
    Get some gorm.
  • Sounds like either the heating element has broken (not repairable) or the switch contacts for the element are not touching (could possibly be repaired, but it is not worth it for the cost of a new toaster).
