A "Grape" about del monte Drinks Carton

Due to the unique shape of Del Monte's Brazilian & watermelon fruit juice carton - the top , one can-not fully extract all the juice from a carton, which becomes very annoying! {despite various shaking positions } Hence I get out the carving nice and slice the carton in halve in desperation, Ok we are only talking about a shot glass full, but when you are paying premium prices for concentrate juices, every drop counts !!

Just having a MSE Rant!!
Am I right or just being a tad petty? Oh well sent a letter of compliant offf to del monte...their logo is quality?

I'm glad it isn't just me that has had problems with these strange shaped cartons. We tried the watermelon drink and another one with mango in it and there is just no way you can get the last drops out.

I did try cutting the top of and getting the juice out that way but I just ended up making a mess.

Not the only one huh! Well letter of complaint is winging its way to Del-monte down in staines.

Tip:- cut the carton in the middle but let it go flip top style to get your Shots worth of juice out

I dont think you're being petty at all!

Like you say, these juices are expensive so you expect to get every last drop out....

I had a problem with my "So Good" soya milk top the other day - it was screwed on so tight even hubby had a problem undoing it.!

Had a nice sincere letter back from the Quality Assistant at Del Monte Europe HQ,

Apparently the new style is seen as an improvement on the previous packaging but have recommended me to to lift up one of the flaps and snip the corner to extract all the juice, they have also passed my comments onto the packaging supplier

Also they enclosed 4x50p Gift Vouchers to use on the purchase of the Del Monte range ;D

Apparently I am the 1st to have a moan about the packaging...as Martin said on Radio 2 this week we should express our feeling more and who knows a better design mybe foth comming
