Probably the one which is nearest."Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect." - Mark Twain0

I live at an equal distance between an Aldi and Lidl I like them both but tend to buy more in Aldi, a lot of their goods are on a par with the better brand names.

I tend to shop more at Lidl these days, especially whilst the fruit & veg are half price (which they are at the moment). Now thanks to Tommix & Queen Bear, now Lady Westy of Woodpecker

I tend to shop for fresh veg in LIDL, as they hold half price fruit & veg sales frequently.
but I'll still go to ALDI, if they have any good offers on like today.

Lidl tends not to run out of fruit and veg as often as Aldi and is better for that, but the Aldi food tends to be quite a bit better in my opinion. Lidl seems to sell all the same stuff across Europe so often has some bizarre European specials. Aldi seems to have more UK type packaging and specials.0

Aldi gets my vote. Hubby used to refuse to eat any other brand of cornflakes except kelloggs but happily eats Aldi's. I found everything great. The only downside is going on a Thursday and spening money on all there specials that are new that day!0

I'd say aldi is much better quality, however lidl is absolutely fantastic for day to day grocery shopping. For me, lidl is nearer, just shopped there this evening and the money you can save as compared to the major supermarkets is fantastic0

You have to be a little more careful what you get from Lidl, whereas Aldi seems to have a higher quality range of goods. Lidl also seem to have lost their way a little with an over reliance on their special offers that are now twice a week when they used to be once a week.0

Personally I prefer Lidl's goods overall...you just have to try both of them really, see which one is for you.0

Aldi gets my vote. Certainly their specials, tend to be marginally cheaper (like for like) than Lidl. Also I find the Aldi's to be cleaner, queues are quicker and staff generally more pleasant. However, you cannot beat the half price fruit deals of Lidl and I love their peanuts!Do you make things happen, watch things happen, or just wonder, what happened?0
