I was wondering if anyone had been on (or knows anyone that has joined) Aiesec?
It's where you pay £350 and then get to work abroad (for basically no wage)
Just looking for people's opinions as it seems like it would be good fun but i'm not sure if the only place left to work would be in mcdonalds in afganistan of something

As far as I know it is fairly competitive, but you'd be doing something with a large international organisation or company. You wouldn't be working in McDonalds in Afghanistan. There is quite a lot of information on their website, and if your university has a group about them they should be able to answer any of your questions.0

I have been to one meeting. They demand a lot from you. You need to be phoning companies and persuading them to take students from outside of the UK (a hard job in todays economic climate)
If you sign up through your local uni group you get a discount (about £100 IIRC) from the work abroad programme.
I have wanted to go back to my local meeting but I haven't heard back from the leader yet.0 -
Just bumping this up.
Anyone else know anything about this lot
