Sorry, I know this may have been asked a thousand times before but we are looking to take a weeks holiday 30th May in the Devon/Cornwall area.
We usually stay at Devon cliffs but cant afford to this time. We have also stayed at Looe Bay which was but I found this a little too quiet dh would happily go back there but the beaches we visited were not that great!.
We have about £200-£230 For 7 nights can only go the 29/30/31st May just to put us on until our main holiday in Sept.
I have looked at Parkdean, Haven and Hoseasons and I'm not really sure where would suit. We dont usually use the site facilities apart from the pools in a morning and maybe a drink in bar the occasional evening, though we dont always do this.
We have two sons who will be 4 and 7 so something for them to do. We like to visit nearby farms, adventure places and we like to have a beach close by. Have also been looking at South wales ..Tenby way.
If anyone could offer any advice, i'd be very grateful

Parkdean at Crantock Beach is lovely (fantastic location) but quite a small park and not much to do onsite for kids (no pool etc.) but is is close to loads of other attractions.
I've also stayed at their Newquay one which is bigger with lots more to do, but slightly inland.
How about Holywell Bay? It's right on the coast (just down from the Crantock Beach one) and has lots of facitilies on site (according to brochure).0 -
I stayed at Parkdean in Torquay last September for a weekend and the staff were so helpful. We were one of over 20+ families that went as a group and I don't think anyone had a bad word to say about the place.
Just had a quick look and you could get the following:
7 nights starting 29/5 or 1/6 in a 'Teignmouth' caravan for £213
7 nights starting 30/5 in either a 'Riviera, Brixham, Holcombe or Totnes' caravan for £242
There are loads of attractions nearby including places like Kents Cavern (where you can use Tesco Deals vouchers), Babbacombe Model Village, etc.
Also there are a number of beaches nearby.
Devon also has some fantastic play parks such as Decoy Country Park which is only 10 minutes away and brilliant facilities including a water play area (all free of charge). There's another good play park at Teignmouth.

We have stayed at the above park for a week june 2 years ago and thought it was a brilliant park, slightly off the beaten track but only by a few mins. Some lovely beaches not that far away, loads to do, ie paignton zoo, wet and wild, woodlands, model vllage, erm trying to think what else we done, we were busy every day and stayed a week.0 -
I haven't personally used any Parkdean sites so can't recommend, but this offer was in our local paper today.
parkdean.com/offers
code : SPADE
Further £5 OFF Price when booked online or tel 0871 641 0179
The offer was for 5 people sharing 4 night mid-week break Feb-June excl. school hols. for £90 incl. passes, linen & services. Can't find any suitable dates for my family but someone may have more luck.0 -
I can recommend Hendra in Newquay. Bit of a drive to the beaches but lovely well-run park. Devon half term is the week before you are going, not sure about Cornwall, so hopefully you'll avoid the "peak" prices. They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0
