cannt find the cold draught blowing through the house

ive found the draught in my house comes from the overflow in the bath, the wind really whistles through that

I had a similar problem. I would second a previous post about the window seals - they are often a number 1 culprit.

Do you have an extractor fan in the kitchen or upstairs anywhere? Sometimes the wind can blow through these - put your hand against it and you will soon tell. This was one of the causes of the swirling draughts around our feet!

Have you got new doors? Check all the way around the external doors. We had a massive gap at the top of the back door frame that had not been filled with sealant - botch job and bloody draughty!

did the candle trick and found that there is deffinetly a breeze coming in from the kitchen and from upstairs bedrooms but just cannt find out where. i also climbed into the loft and discovered that the insulation is in a terrible state and will have to be sorted out soon.

Very pleased to hear the candle narrowed down the field somewhat, it's a very old trick!
To narrow things down a bit more you could try wetting a finger, as a wet finger is very sensitive to changes in temperature as well as the direction of the temperature change. Good luck.
