I am on the EON V5 online tariff which remains one of the cheapest with my 18% discount. But the discount is only guaranteed until 4/09 & I know if you switch your last bill doesnt receive the discount. What happens in 4/09 will I just lose the discount?

    You'll be able to change to the current version (12, I think). It will have a higher base price but still has similar dual fuel discounts.

    You might have to explicitly ask for the best tariff, thougg, as you may be bumped off on to a standard tariff.

    If you go online to your Eon account and click the "change tariff*" button it will show you the details of you tariff and all the ones available for you to switch to.

    Hi,

    The discount is due to end around 1 April 2009.

    When the discount finishes, you will be placed on the Standard Energy Online prices.

    I’d use your online account and click the ‘quote and switch’ link, as this will show your current prices and prices from the new versions of EnergyOnline.

    You can compare tariff this way to see which is the best one for you.

    This thread was a good reminder - thanks. My parents on are Extra Saver v5 and I think we all forgot that the discount would end sometime this year.
