Egg 'Anniversary Offer' balance transfer fee

I have just logged into my Egg account and got a splash screen telling me I now qualify for the 0% balance transfer 'anniversary offer', however it clearly stated there would be a fee on each transfer of 2%.
Noooooooooooo! I have been waiting for this and they confirmed to me a while back there was no fee.
Has anyone else experienced this? Have the terms changed without them bothering to tell anyone (again)? Is my Egg card now worthless?
I have messaged them, but their messaging seems screwy at the moment, so no reply yet.
Thanks!

if you had you egg card before may31 last year (am pretty sure about this date but i'm sure if i am wrong someone will correct me) you should not be charged a balance transfer fee on your anniversary offer. you will however be charged a fee on any other promotional rate e.g. 1.9% etc.
my anniversary month is february so i rang them last night to confirm there was no fee for me and there wasn't
i would suggest the safest and best thing to do would be to ring them up and confirm0 -
The fee became payable for customers who applied after 1st May 2005. When I applied at the time I was told the fee would ONLY apply during the initial 0% promo period and not during the anniversary offer.
...tho they have made offers to both pre and post 1st May '05 customers where a fee would be charged.

Thanks very much! I guess their splash screen is being a bit too 'up to date' seeing as I got the card in February 2005. I am still awaiting their secure messaging/site to come back to life so hopefully they will confirm in writing there is no fee. Otherwise I'll update this again.
Many thanks!0
