American Express nectar card

in Credit cards
Have looked for a thread on this but can't find one so hope I'm not repeating anything. Has anybody looked at the new American E Nectar card? When used with your nectar loyalty card you get 4 points on every pound spent. As I do most my shopping at Sainsbury's I thought this seemed quite good. Any thoughts?

There have been quite a few threads on this (especially on the 6000 bonus points at Christmas).
However, for use at Nectar sponsors (like Sainsburys) where you get an extra 2 points per £1 (equivalent to 1%) on top of your current Necar points it is better than virtually all other cashback cards.0 -

Why better? Egg Money and Conran have the same 1% for all purchases, not only from Nectar participants. For big spenders Amex Platinum cashback is even higher than 1%.0 -
An advantage to the Nectar card is that you can take the rewards any time you want, not just at the end of the year as is typical with a cashback card. Also, Nectar runs lots of bonus points offers which can easily increase value of what you earn relative to what you spend. At Sainsbury's you get 2 Nectar points for each £1 in spend (4 points if you use the AMEX card), but they are always sending out bonus offers which make it a much richer reward program.0

Agree they are the best except after nearly a month I have not seen 1 let alone 6000 bonus points for taking out a credit card with them as well. Now promised in a weeks time but suspect it will be call number 3 needed - seem nice people though and I like the features of the new card !
My egg green card gives 0.1 % and halifax 0.25 % cash back both trimmed back from the original 1% and therefore little used. I am sure Egg will do just the same with the blue card so why bother for a short period just to get 0.5 % when Morgan Stanley match or exceed this and AMEX give more in points when you use a loyalty card as well0
