I am going to New York in April and want to book a musical does anyone know where you can get reductions on theatre tickets.

TKTS is one of the most famous ways to get last minute discounts tickets for your favorite Broadway show. You should be able to get discount from 25% to 50%. They have red and white booths in the center of Time Square (47th St at Broadway) and at South Street Seaport (199 Water Street). You can't miss them. There is usually a very long line up, so you need to show up early. TKTS is a non-profit organization that wanted to make theater more affordable for the average person. They have a surcharge of $3 per ticket and don't take credit cards, so bring cash or traveller's checks.

And the queues about a mile and a half long too. Theres another one down near wall street I think with smaller queues.

I've signed up with https://www.theatremania.com to try and get cheaper tickets as I'm also going to New York in April (Easter), but it looks as though most deals at the moment run until mid March. I found tickets for Ring Of Fire (about Johnny Cash) at a discount but my OH doesn't fancy it. I'd love to see Sweeney Todd again as this is my favourite musical, but it's about $240 for 2 tickets -ouch!!
