Are you returning full time? Will you still be claiming any sorts of benefits or credits etc? I would of thought that when you inform the benefits office or your employer does that you are starting back at work on the certain date that your benefits will automatically stop thenWeight Loss - 102lb0

I would check with someone like CAB. If you are on your own, I know there used to be a thing called "Lone Parent Run-on", whereby benefits would carry on for a few weeks after you went back to work, but it depended on how long you had been on Income Support without a break - it had to be at least 26 weeks. This was a couple of years ago, so the rules may have changed. If you are married or living with a partner, benefits usually stop the day you start work (unless, again the rules have changed!)

you are still entitled a a housing benefit run on if yhou have been continuously receiving IS for 26 weeks without a break.
dont be confused by the term housing benefit run on as it applies to CTB as well.
however you will have to get proof that you are entitled as it can take months for the DWP to inform your LA so youre better off getting proof and providing it yourself. There's someone in my head, but it's not me0
