Good Evening,
Has anyone had experience of finding seats they have booked on Easyjet which have reduced in price due to the periodic sales they have?
If you have, can you advise whether you just accepted it or contacted Easyjet? If you did contact them what happened?
Your comments would be appreciated.

there have been loads of threads like this guess the comments will be along the lines
things do go down in price during sales...
if it had gone up in price, would you be contacting them to offer to pay more...
you were happy with the price when you booked...
why did you check back....
has happened to me to, prices go up and down...sorry0 -
Thanks for that. I appreciate what your saying but my thought if you have booked the flight so far in advance, your fare should be lower than the sale price should it not?
Thats the whole point of booking early isnt it?0 -
It usully is but as we are credit crunching especially this is going to happen a lot now as fuel prices have lowered. I'm afraid it is just luck-happened to me a xmas.0

Why should you think that - prices go up & down depending on demand. It's the basis of the free market.scousemanblue wrote: »Thanks for that. I appreciate what your saying but my thought if you have booked the flight so far in advance, your fare should be lower than the sale price should it not?

You got a price you were happy with at the time, so don't moan that the price has dropped0 -
I'm not moaning. I am asking for peoples opinion. I thought that this was the place to see peoples opinions.
Obviously this has never happened to you.

The fare on my flight has gone down! Does easyJet offer a price promise?

The fare on my flight has gone down! Does easyJet offer a price promise?
Answer
Any easyJet passenger who has made a booking and subsequently finds that lower fares (when taken together with all applicable charges) for the same easyJet flight have become available will be refunded the difference as a credit against future flights on easyJet. The only exception to this is if the lower fares are part of a promotional offer. Please note that each Journey will be treated separately. This credit will be valid for use against bookings made within 6 months from the date of issue. It will expire at midnight on the expiry date and the validity of the credit file cannot be extended. To qualify for a refund the fare must be still available for sale and must be for the same date, destination, and flight number. If your price promise request is in respect of a booking that has been subject to a "flight transfer" or "name change", easyJet will not refund below the value of the original fare paid in the initial booking. All transfer fees and name change fees are non-refundable. To make a claim the passenger must telephone our call centre on 0871 244 2366 (calls cost 10p per minute; calls from mobiles and other networks may cost more. For other telephone numbers visit the contact us section.) Claims made by fax, letter, or email cannot be accepted.0 -
I think we will find it a lot now fluctuation on fares. I remember with Easyjet you had to book them early to get the lowest fares. As GH post contact them and see what they say, You have nothing to lose.
I went to book Ryainair one morning last week but got disturbed and never got the booking finished. I went back on 2 hrs later to book and the flights had gone to 00p. I was a happy chappy but on the other hand I was happy to book at the price quoted earlier. Sign of the times Im afraid just now.0 -
The only exception to this is if the lower fares are part of a promotional offer.
I assume that a sale counts as a "promotional offer", so it won't be refunded, right?
I bought an April flight back in Decembeages ago because every week I checked it was going up, and now I'm not even checking prices any more, not to be disappointed if it's gone down, heheBeing brave is going after your dreams head on0 -
easyJet say, 'generally speaking', so they go up and down like a yo-yo.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0
