Right, here it goes......
After eventually joining the forum on wed after receiving MSE emails for a year I was suprised by how motivated I felt. I have almost finished sorting out the living room cupboards (well, i had sorted out the paperwork on tuesday night and everything was all neat and tidy until I got in from work and found the contenta of 4 cupboards all over the living room floor and B standing with a big smile on his face saying he was spring cleaning!!!) B however, has man flu and couldny be bothered with tidying up all the stuff on the floor so that was left to muggins here.
I have decided to put the idea of going bankrupt on the backburner for a while to see if I can sort this mess out myself.
Mind you I am facing the prospect of unemployment from 9th march unless I find another job. I was on a temporary contract with NHS and its not getting renewed, I knew it was coming but was upset it happened any way.
Here it goes....
Overdraft 1 - £800
Overdraft 2 - £200
O2 - £331
Laptop (finance with HFC) - £549
Peugeot (HP) - £4862

Think you forgot rent/mortgage?
Is there anyway of getting rid of the prepayment meter - we saved loads when we moved out of a house that had that - plus it tended to go off at 6am Sunday morning...This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!
Current Pay Off Target : £1500 :mad:0 -
Hi there
B pays the rent, its £400 every 4 weeks. I know the meters are more expensive but its not our house its private and it ensures that i dont leave things on when they should be off. Plus the landlord dont want it out!!Barclays OD -£805.93/limit £800 A & L OD -£350.00/limit £250HFC (laptop) £549.00, Barclays Loan £3033.00, O2 £331 (227.70 left)(defaulted):eek::eek:0 -
Meters are a pain, our landlord als insists that we keep both our gas and electric metres. On the plus side you know you wont be getting any big bills for them.
How is the search going for things to sell?

Well, having recovered from the shock of falling snow im ready to tell you what i have done today.
I have decided that as the car payment isnt a priority debt, OH has told me he will pay it on 10th Feb, i can now put some money into overdraft. Im going to concentrate on the smaller one first £250 as it doesnt seem such a big target. I have decided to take half day holiday from work... (yes i managed to get into work for 8am despite the snow up here in the north east.
I have checked my bank account and its not so bad. as well as the money spent on cigs i also put £15 on mobile phone and qualified for O2 suprise so i have now got an additional 100 texts for free. It has to be used by tomorrow but it all helps. I wouldnt have bothered but i dont fancy being stranded in the car with all this snow with no contact to the outside world.
I took packed lunch to work but left it in the fridge so that will do for tomorrow if i get there. Hope i do coz i have to work in sunderland tomorrow!!
Plans for rest of day....
1. sort something out for tea (not much in cupboards tho)
2. Pick OH up from work at 3pm (should let him walk really)
3. Attempt to climb the mountain of ironing in the spare room
4. When the heating comes on put clothes out of washer on radiators.
I hate having all the washing done with no where to dry it!!!!
5. get patches out of medicine box for tomorrow
6. find recipes that include dried fruit then bake something
I hope i manage even half this stuff (although if i dont pick B up there will be all hell to pay)
oh almost forgot
7. check what books i have got and look on Amazon, list stuff on EbayBarclays OD -£805.93/limit £800 A & L OD -£350.00/limit £250HFC (laptop) £549.00, Barclays Loan £3033.00, O2 £331 (227.70 left)(defaulted):eek::eek::eek:0
