How to stop a shower curtain clinging?

Does anyone know how to stop a polyester shower curtain sticking to you and wrapping you up in it!

It is driving me mad - dont want to fork out for a glass rigid one as we are doing the bathroom up shortly (not long moved in).

In my curtain there is weights in the hem so maybe you could get some from a market stall selling trimings and stich them on. Good Luck
  • if you have a curtain pole down the length of the bath you could move the pole away from the bath (say 100mm) instead of it being directly above the edge of the bath. this gives you more room (above knee height) and the weight of the curtain will pull itself tight to the inner edge of the bath at the bottom of the curtain. i did this myself at my previous house before i got to the stage of ripping it down in anger!

Thanks, might try both just to make sure!
  • Put a few little fishing weights in the hem.

If you hold the outside of the curtain (The bit below the top of the bath) under the shower to get it wet, it will then cling to the bath instead of you. :D

I tried that and it didn't work for me. It is not a case of the curtain simply clinging because its wet. I have noticed that when you switch some shows on the curtain sucks inwards because as partial vacuum has been created.

Urmmmmmmmmmmmmm buy a new shower curtain :)
  • Tried that - had 2 x pvc, then went on to Polyester in the hope it only happened with pvc ones!
  • I think the weights tip is a good one, I was going to buy a wider bath but now I won't bother. 1a_y_grin.gif
