ASA ban misleading British Gas Adverts

http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2009/jan/07/asa-british-gas-ban

They also charge cancellation charges of up to £250 for a Homecare contract
even if they have failed in their promise "to provide a safe, high quality service to repair and maintain"your boiler.

Good to see the ASA actually do something to protect the public interest
Most regulators seem to be toothless wonders.Corgi can't even tell you
if the British Gas engineer who visits you is even Corgi registered!!

Well spotted Matt. Why oh why can't this government take away a few pensions, bang a few miscreants in prison.
    Far too many cosy cartels.
  • I read on a British Gas website earlier that most of the complaints about their homecare that are on the Internet are fake and posted by their competitors.
No no no.They really are genuine upset and disappointed people.Maybe thats why their Customer Services don't bother to resolve them.

Please someone come up with a cheap alternative energy source so we can all tell British Gas where to go!!!!
