    Update on Tesco Savers account, I've just recieved all the bumph for the savers account. On first glance there doesn't appear to be anything about bankrupts but it does say that they MAY check with credit reference agencies so I will fill in the details and post off today - I will not be holding my breath on this one.

    I also recieved my application form for a Clubcardplus account - This was a pain to get, when I originally rang up for one, the rather rude woman in the Finance dept told me I had rang the wrong number and transfered me to the Clubcard line. This was on Sunday, after listening to a recorded message I discovered that their was no one their until Monday. I rang the Clubcard line on Monday only to be put through to the Finance dept ARGGGGH! Anyway to cut along story short I now have my application form for the Clubcardplus card. Since it would appear that you can get doublepoints with this card and load it up (just like a cashcard) so that you can use it online at Tesco's this might be a way out of our Tesco Internet problem. You can only use it at Tesco's though but you can use it to buy petrol. Anyway I'm not going to apply for one just yet I want to see if I can get the instant savers account first. I have also sent Moneybox live another e-mail about the "electron" and Tesco's and this time suggested they have a look at this forum! If any one else wants to apply for the Clubcardplus Card the Telephone no is 08457104010,

  • Thats interesting to know Jayne, I thought they had discountined the Clubcard Plus. I'll have to give them a call and see if I can get one too.

  • Hi, itydntk did you actually tell Tesco that you had gone br or have you just continued using it?

    The other problem is that they appear to want the starting deposit to be paid by cheque - slight problem br's are not allowed cheques? I'm going to ask if they can just do a credit transfer over the phone? We will have to wait and see. The only other way is if they will accept a cheque from my daughter. I may have the same problem with the clubcardplus as they want a cheque for £1 to start up the account!
