I've seen him play the Kings Hall twice, he's very funny and does mention living in Bangor.

    Thanks all
Hes coming to the Odyssey in December and tickets are £33.00.
What do people think of this venue for a stand up preformer?
Would have thought that the Waterfront would have been better but then I guess it wouldn't hold as much.

i went to see lee evans in the odyssey last year and thought it wsa very good, only bad thing was that i sat on the ice (obvously with it covered) but my feet were freezing, kept the drinks cold though:T
has been around for a while but always learning,
  • I saw him at the Metro in Newcastle and although he was as funny as ever the seating was in the middle and not staggered so very tall man in front made it very difficult for me to see anything, I wasn't very impressed as had tried to get to see him for 10 years. Worth it but get staggered seats lol.
Married the most amazing man 05/12/09 and it was the best day ever, I'm a Mrs, he he!!

I saw lee evans at the odyssey last year as well, apart from not finding him funny, i thought that sitting at the back of such a big arena was pointless as i spent most of the time watching the big screens so may as well have watched it on DVD. getting out of the car park at the end was a right pain and took over an hour.
I think the waterfront is a lot better although i haven't sat at the back of it yet to see what the view is like.
  • is the odyssey just too big for comedy gigs? Do you think it loses a little something something?

For stand-up comedy I think it is too big, unless you are near the stage. Waterfront is much better venue for stand-up.
