tesco internet saver application

Hiya everyone

Anyone could let me know how long they have had to wait for a new tesco internet saver to open?

I made the mistake to use a tesco prepaid envelope instead of my own recorded mail so I dont know if my application was received.

I sent my application about 2 weeks ago and when i called them up today they said the account is still pending and isnt possible for helpdesk to find out if the application was received. I am planning to wait a couple more weeks and then get them to re-send another form.

Could be the huge amount of applications waiting to be processed causing the delay....

to get the tesco internet account up and withdrawals possible you have to -
    • apply online
    • wait
    • recieve your application pack and r85 form which you can not fill in as your do not have an account number yet (for gross interest),
    • send your ID off, signed form and cheque
    • wait
    • get your account details through the post. send you r85 from off (for gross interest),
    • sign up to tesco internet banking online (step 1)
    • post your signiture off again
    • wait
    • get the remaining details through for the internet banking
    • fully sign on to internet banking (step 2)
    • then appy for a card reader, card and PIN in order to withdraw any of your money
    • wait
    • recieve the above
From the start to waiting for the card reader it has taken me about 5 weeks at the moment, but I'm sure I've read on here about it taking 3 - 4 months for some people from start to finish.
