Barclays Credit Builder

Hi all,

Does anyone know if Barclays accept Tenants with CCJ's on their file for the Creditbuilder card. I doubt I will get the initial card!

Thanks for your help in advance.

How old is your ccj and have you any other bad credit on your files at present?
Got Halifax Classic to reduce my interest rate by 5% woohoo - 10/06/08 Thanks MSE!
    Another 3% shaved off 10/12/08

In discussing the Barclays Credit Builder credit card, do you mean the 'Barclaycard Initial'. If so, that specifically excludes applicants who have had a CCJ or IVA registered against them in the last 5 years (satisfied or not).

Being a tenant wouldnt exclude you, but if you weren't on the electoral roll that would significantly count against you.
  • Barclaycard Initial has the toughest acceptance of the credit builder cards, you are better to apply for either Vanquis or Capital One Classic.

Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

Strange just had a call from their fraud department, to ensure I was applying?
