what do you do if you need car tax

to do but you are abroad at present and car would need MOT to get car tax. worried owner in france at mo ( we are also looking at selling car but may have to bring it back to uk for this and seeing as we dont have accommodation sorted over there until we get a camper van this could be some time). any tips appreciated

    I'd ring the DVLA and sort something out. 0870 240 0010 (not sue if that will work from abroad so website is https://www.dvla.gov.uk)

    don't use the 0870 number

    use 0800 3898787

    Are you saying that you're in France, with the car, and the MOT is about to expire? If you're on UK plates then your car will be illegal in France too. It might be worth a day trip on the ferry to get it MOT'd.

    If the car is in the UK then you may be able to SORN online.
