I use Reaplayer and I've noticed that everytime I do use Realplayer it puts itself in my startup menu, or at least the file named "realsched" does and it's obviously related to Realplayer. I don't want it to start up unless I choose it to do so.
I just started my pc up and checked the startup menu and the "realsched" file was unticked. Yet I then clicked on Realplayer and then closed it down, checked the startup menu again and noted that "realsched" was now ticked. How can I stop Realplayer from doing this?

Have you got ccleaner? This prog. is free and useful. It has a tools option with a startup list and you can disable/delete what you want.0

Yes I do have CC Cleaner and I looked there and noted that "realched" is disabled.
I then fired Realplayer up and noted in the msconfig menu that it had ticked itself in the startup menu. I looked in the CC Cleaner tools menu and noted that there it was disabled!
It's as though there is something inbuilt in Realplayer so that everytime you start it up it installs in the stratup menu.0 -
Can't remember how I stopped it on my pc but have a look at post 4 on this this - http://forums!!!!et.com/5208-6138_102-0.html?forumID=31&threadID=113434&messageID=1288284

Thanks for your help on this. The first link doesn't seem to be linking. The second link to the help2go.com page seems to have done the trick for me.0

You could try using real alternative, it's not as intrusive as real player0

yup - second real alternative and there's quicktime alternative too. Both use media player classic which is nice and lightweight.0

Stop tkbell.exe if it's running too.0
