Well I have now had two german people and one Belgian person ask me to send to their countries. I don't mind if I don't have to pay huge fees but I find BuddyyBonthenet's comments worrying, certainly not worth doing for £8 fees

So what are we saying. Yes or no to these bank transfers?

Its very embarassing as I'm struggling to understand the questions. I think they may have put the question through an online translator and it didn't work.

Its so much easier sending to Sheffield!

This is one of the questions. Ok I'm fine with the first bit but then I lose it:confused:

Good evening, deliver you in Belgium and to what price? We can group together(include) purchases - 2 son's prizes(son's lots, thread prizes, thread lots)?

I'm selling some sewing thread if that helps! I have two auctions for thread so I'm assuming its something to do with combining auctions but son's prizes?

Yes they are fine. When you send an international transfer you have 3 options with regards to fees, one of which is recipient pays all fees. This is very rarely used and my experience have never come across any chargers for receiving funds.

    ...cheques are different story though.

As for the translation issues, personally I find it enjoyable. When I'm not sure what a question means, I just reply covering all possible meanings.

    They're quick and free (!).

Only ebay and it's cheerleaders here would talk you out of taking payment via bank transfer.

I wrote back saying I think that they are interested in both my auctions and combining postage would be fine..... they are probably sat there thinking I'm a fool if they asked something completely different! :rotfl:

Right then, so as long as its not a cheque, not larger than 24 inches then we are onto a winner. All these questions and not one english purchaser question. Crazy what is happening to the market.

I have to admit I havent weighed them. I look at what other people charge, find an average and charge that. It usually works fine, sorry thats a c.rap way of doing it I know.

So on that method i've said £5 for smaller auction and £9 for large auction. I don't think this will be far off. I don't sell very often at all.... I'm a buyer, thats why I end up with so much stuff
  • Just bear in mind if you do end up sending abroad RM Airmail has a limit of 2kg, if its heavier than that you will have to use a courier (like the one I posted here 6)

    Good luck!

Thank you. If I had to do that ebay survey thing on you I'd say you gave great service :D

Much appreciated everyone. I feel reassured now. In the morning I will weigh them and do the online quote thing.

Then I'll stick to buying lol

    Yes.
    But make it in euros
and make it 'shared sharges' (there aren't any)
    and make it IBAN

Check with your bank to be 100% sure it's not going to cost you a fee. But don't ask counter staff - they are generally clueless on these things.
