i merely tried to ring them and sort it out to stop us and them having the hassle of people turning up at my home. i was trying to be helpful! ive never had to deal with anything like this before and have been sending the letters back for 6 months already.
we are on the electoral register.0 -
Hi. Can I suggest you PM Herbie21 for advice on bailiffs. Oh and NEVER let them in. If they get pushy dial 999.Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)0

"..hassle of people turning up at my home"
Baliffs need a court order to enter your property, research by the creditors would be completed well before any order is awarded
".. and have been sending the letters back for 6 months already"
Keep sending them back unoponed
".. we are on the electoral register."
Enjoy your new home0 -
The letters will keep coming for years.
Every 12 months that debt will probably be transfered to another collection company and they will start again.
Just keep returning them0 -
Seriously, return letters unopened.
Don't let people in.
Tell anyone who turns up that the debtors don't live there any more, but you're not "required" to prove anything. If they come back, ignore them.
Phone the police to report their trespass if they don't leave straight away.If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything0 -

Oh no that would be really rude, unless you accidentally "dropped" it oops! It would be a waste anyway especially if it was maxwell house or Nescafee Gold blend.. mmhh.0 -
if you show any bailiffs a photographic form of ID and your Mortgage Deed that should be sufficient to prove ownership and to make them go away0
