The inside market in Oldham has a small book stall. Very small though and not too sure on the range of books. Looks a bit Mills & Boony, lol.
Also, there was a book stall on the outside market(Tommyfield). Can't be certain that it's still there though. Seems to be all fabric stalls these days!
School fairs are good for books. I always come away with loads from ours. Feel a bit guilty for getting them so cheaply! Lol. Maybe keep an eye out for local summer fairs in a few months?
Car boots...also good. I'm sure you know that already!;)!!73lb lost!!

I used to like Zero Books in East Didsbury - on the road down the side of the library (toward Chorlton) next to what was the Marie Curie shop but is now something else! There's a butchers ont he corner of that road.0

Thanks
I know most of the places in the city centre, so it's really the further out ones like Bury Market about which I'm looking to find out
one advantage of having a travel pass. Possibly the only one...
market days are wednesday, friday and saturday, best ways into bury from manc if not driving are either the 135 bus (dont bother with the 98 it takes forever) or the metrolink, but the market is a bit of a walk from the stationthings arent the way they were before, you wouldnt even recognise me anymore- not that you knew me back thenMercilessKiller wrote: »BH is my best mate too, its ok

Thanks a lot, that's very helpful!(I can't drive.)

Oxfam used to have a bookstore near the bus station in Rochdale. I've not been there for a while, so I'm not sure if it's still there.0
