On december my man lost his job and we had went to rbs to see if we could get help because we could not afford to pay our loan we offered to set up a lower payment scheme and they did not help in any way we have now missed two payments and they have took £200 out of my account and shut it down can they do this

RBS can use balances in any of your accounts to settle delinquent debts. It's called the right of setoff, and most if not all banks have it in their terms and conditions.

When i tried to set up a smaller payment plan and they said they could not help me i went to see citazens advice they were the ones that told me to arrange smaller payments with them i tried this but they were anything but helpfull they would not come to an agreemen with me the bank has now left me with no money and a child to support. Is there nothing i can do.0
