Help!! Current Account disappeared from online banking
Comments
-
Ok, have spoken to RBS. My branch was actually very helpful and explained that there was a stop on using my current account debit card due to insufficient funds in the account and a number of DDs due out as well. They transferred the money accross for me so that I wouldn't incur loads of unpaid DD charges (except the loan repayment). The branch advised me to call Digital Banking and they explained that I couldn't view my current account online because of the stop - which is a bit insane, because the whole point of online banking is to be able to view your account, transfer money around to ensure as many bills as possible get paid. It won't get lifted till the account is in credit so it looks like I'm going to have to call my branch every day to see which DDs have been presented for payment and ask them to transfer the funds accross. Thank goodness RBS still uses branches and not call centres!
Also spoke to CCCS today and drew up a detailed SOA for the next couple of months while on SMP and I am sending this off to my creditors (including the RBS loan) to offer them a token payment for two months.
Conveniently, Capital One called me just after I spoke to CCCS so it was a relief to be able to tell them that I had a CCCS reference number - they ended the call quite sympathetically without any fuss - and accepted my token payment of £1 quite readily.
And yes, RBS cannot touch funds in my joint account to pay the loan repayments so no need to look for a parachute bank account just yet!
Other than that all tickety boo and itching to get on full income again so I can start paying off those debts!!"I have enough money to last me the rest of my life, unless I buy something"0
