I second that. i called Lloyds, they doesn't seems interested at all. Retailer is giving lame excuses.
I hope this doesn't become a trend among retailers.... (found 2 so far).bert&ernie wrote: »I would hazard a guess that this is the case. The retailer has probably worked out the BIN/IINs used by the Lloyds Duo AMEX and is blocking them at the point of sale. They know that holders of this card also have a MasterCard issued on the same account, so they would rather process the sale using that and pay a lower fee.All I ask is the chance to prove that money can't make me happy.0 -

Report it direct to AmEx via the link above. AmEx take non-acceptance very seriously when the merchant purports to accept the card and then says "no, but we'll take another form of payment".

I'm not convinced that Amex take non-acceptance very seriously at all. I've written to their card suppression unit several times and never even get the courtesy of a reply.0 -

Finally, after complaining to Amex, Lloyds and Retailer, I got a response back from Retailer and they can now accept Lloyds Amex but will charge 2% fee !!
So, all that about address verification was !!!!!!!!!
American Express/Lloyds must take some action...All I ask is the chance to prove that money can't make me happy.0
