Llyods Duo Amex not accepted (but Amex accepted)

I second that. i called Lloyds, they doesn't seems interested at all. Retailer is giving lame excuses.

I hope this doesn't become a trend among retailers.... (found 2 so far).

They know that holders of this card also have a MasterCard issued on the same account, so they would rather process the sale using that and pay a lower fee.

Report it direct to AmEx via the link above. AmEx take non-acceptance very seriously when the merchant purports to accept the card and then says "no, but we'll take another form of payment".

I'm not convinced that Amex take non-acceptance very seriously at all. I've written to their card suppression unit several times and never even get the courtesy of a reply.

Thats a american website...it doesn't have UK in country dropdown.

You can select "other" from the country list, but if you click "home" you go to the UK Amex site, so I think it can be used by UK customers.

Finally, after complaining to Amex, Lloyds and Retailer, I got a response back from Retailer and they can now accept Lloyds Amex but will charge 2% fee !!

So, all that about address verification was !!!!!!!!!

American Express/Lloyds must take some action...
