Oh My God Cccs Just Cancelled My Dmp!!

i just rang cccs to see if i could add littlewoods catalogue debt of £110 to my dmp as i have fallen into arrears with the payments. i started with cccs in aug 05. the catalogue bill was a buy now pay in 12months deal i took it out in july 04 to repay in july 05.
cccs advise me that as i di not declare this debt ie i signed the agreement saying i had declared all my debts i have broken my agreement with them and they are therefore cancelling my plan.
i did not declare the littlewoods debts because to be honest i did not think it would be a problem to pay back and £20 a month was the least of my worries. the late payment charges soon racked up though and i rang cccs to help with it i was stunned they are cancelling my whole thing and i am now really really worried about my creditors. during the setting up of the dmp all payments from my bank to crediotrs were cancelled and so arrears and late payment charges racked up. i cannot bear to go through the whole dodging the phone every time it rings scenario again. they said they will send me a self help pack, it will take more than that, i am a single parent and as it is its hard enough for me to drag myself to work every day jsut to keep my head above water i feel like packing it all in
does anyone have any advice as to where i can go from here? i havent had a day like this for a long time im crushed!

Payplan. Or the CAB.
And this time declare all your debts. It does not matter that you 'did not think it would be a problem to pay back and £20 a month was the least of my worries' You made a false declaration when you signed the Statement.
Creditors tend to assume that all debtors are not telling the truth and it is important for any advice service to maintain their integrity in their dealings with creditors.
Don't panic. You've learned your lesson, I think. I'm not trying to be harsh. There is a way forward from here. It's just not with CCCS.0 -
Hi FBS
What an awful thing to happen, I can understand you feel crushed. Can't give any other advice but if it was me I would call Payplan straight away and see if they can help you, there is no harm in asking. If not, go to the CAB - I don't think you should cope with this alone.

I want to say well done for the effort that you've obviously put in to try and clear your debts and please don't let this set back ruin the whole thing. It must have been such a shock for you to hear that it was being cancelled, first things first you need a hug :grouphug: !
I agree that the best step now would be to seek help from another organisation similar to cccs and get things on track again. And I'm sure this time you'll know to include everything, that way they can help you with everything. Don't be too harsh on yourself though, by the sounds of it you were doing your best to try and cope with your debts. It is hard to give up control to a company, it can feel like admitting that you're not in control. But you've taken the huge step of doing this once and I'm sure you will do again.
Above all, remember to look after yourself and make sure you are ok through all this. Hopefully you can find some help from payplan or similar and get the ball rolling again.
Best of luck and let us know how you get on

oh dear how awful for you. You can do this yourself if you have to. the pack is very good and obviously you already have an agreement with your creditors. they have already said what they will accept on the DMP so you don't have to start at the very beginning. the upside of this is that you won't have to find CCCs fee every month so you may be able to offer your creditors slightly more each month.
Take it step by step. CCCS are not completely abandonning you. You will be able to get help and advice from them or Payplan or CAB.
It was a harsh lesson for you and I probably would have done the same thing not realising.

Hi jellycat, sorry to intrude on this post, but I'm arranging a dmp by myself with nationaldebtline websites help, but I thought that if the stress got too much for me to handle on my own, I might use cccs - I thought they were free? Is this not the case?0 -

CCCS and Payplan are free however they do charge the creditors something so as to finance their work. their is absolutely no charge to you at all. relax and honestly use one of them instead of going it alone. they are so helpful

thanks guys. i rang cccs back and spoke to a differnt advisor who reset the dmp!! i could not believe it was as easy as just talking to somebody else quite worrying that they can just use their discretion that could have been make or break so the panic is over, although yesterday in between advisors i cried so much i gave myself a migraine! still look a bit traumatised today"!
the replies really helped me yesterday i thought i was done for so hugs all round x0 -
Oh that is great news, good on you for phoning again!! I'm so glad things are back on track, are ALL your debts now included?
Best of luck
