Bathroom/Shower Room Tiles-removal of..

Hi Lucie
The tool I mentioned in the earlier thread can be found in the decorating section with the likes of wallpaper scrapers and putty knives etc. Called some of scraper and says can be used for ceramic and vinyl tiles and also wallpaper. As I said I would recommend a plastic hammer/mallet as you do wear through the rubber covering on the end of the scraper.0 -
Thanks everybody.
We had a quick go (on the theory that if the first one came off easily they all would
) & just as expected big lumps of plaster came off too. It doesn't help that they are stuck straight onto the plasterboard. I rang the guy who is doing the work for us & told him I was a bit concerned about it & he agreed to remove the tiles as part of the price he already quoted. If the worst happens & the wall needs re-doing it will be a max of £100 (which we'd have to pay for whoever removed the tiles). Result.
He also has some type of builder tool/gadget/machine to get the tiles off quicker & easier. Thanks to everyone who offered their advice. I'll post you a pic when it's all finished
