Not such a great deal a Inspiron 6000 is better value. You could have picked one up for the same price of the normal dell site a couple of days ago. I would wait a couple of weeks...maybe somee deals would come out again. What do the others think0

Thanks Mrhelpful,
The most equivalant deal a couple of days ago (Ive been trackink them all for some time) was this:
Inspiron 630M Laptop £575
Pentium M 1.73Ghz, 14.1" Widescreen Display, 512MB RAM, 40GB, 8xDVD+/-RW, Modem, Intel Media Accelerator Graphics, Wireless Enabled, Windows XP Home Edition, 1 Year Collect and Return Warranty
As you will note, only 512mb RAM and only 40gb hard drive.
Any more views, esp re: the 630m as a machine0 -
Jordan,
I wouldnt bother checking the outlet webpages, many times the comps are not a good deal. If your looking to buy keep an eye on these three webpages mate.

There is also a thread on here which gives an additional 10% off. I wouldnt bother getting a 630M... its smaller ok but 6000 is much better spec... be smart. For those prices you are getting ... I would atleasst get a 6000.0 -
Mr helpful them links are great.
I have day off work tomorrow and having a mooch for a laptop.
The 6000 you sugest:
Is this from experiance are they good? Is the screen nice bright and clear.
Also they seem to come with media centre as op system is this ok to use eg: much different than Xp home/pro does it do same thing.
thx0 -
Yup,
i have a 6000 from work and its very reliable. The screen is a good size, nice bright and clear. It doesnt weigh much and has a very good spec.
The media centre op system is better then XP home/pro and can be seen as being the next version. Windows XP Media does the same thing as XP home/pro but has a media centre included.0 -
thx Mr H
